"I am mother of 3 kids, one in college, high school and junior high and married to Craig for 20+ years. Craig and I met in college and were married shortly after I graduated from Northern Arizona University...wow what a long time ago. We have lots of great memories and I am blessed with such a dear family. We have lived Anthem since 2003 really enjoy living here. We are members of Grace North Church and both serve on leadership as well.
SWEAT: I work here and I work out here. I was a client before I became a trainer. SWEAT is committed to motivating, inspiring and offering a disciplined program of fitness. I feel very fortunate to be part of this program.
Being a client: when I come to work out, I am ready to give my best. The people around me are there to do the same. From the minute your training session starts you are expected to give a diligent effort. About half way through you sometimes wonder…why did I sign up for this? But, when your training hour is over…there are smiles and looks of relief and the feeling of accomplishment. There is usually a bit of joking we all need a comic relief at that point. You meet lots of people who push and inspire you and are in the trenches like you….working towards a fitness goal and improving their health.
I am pushed and challenged by a program the sees me at a fitness level beyond where I see myself. Why do they do that…the owners have designed a program that gets results, and they expect results. The entire staff is determined to help you get results. Why not treat a client with expectation-yes it’s demanding. But since I don’t have any time to waste and I bet you don’t either, I encourage you to put your effort in a program that works.
Becoming a Trainer has been an incredibly rewarding decision for me. When I was first asked to consider working at SWEAT, I was not sure about it. The studying and certification was a challenge in my busy schedule. The other challenge was offering the intensity and motivation to our clients. Could I do it? I have found that I love working with our clients, young, old and everyone in between. I have heard so many of them say, "I didn’t think I could do it” whether it’s completing a set, finishing a training session or losing a certain amount of weight, but when they do, there is a feeling of accomplishment. Fitness is one aspect of a healthy lifestyle and I love to encourage and to be part of positive change in someone’s life.
Why am I a trainer and why do I work out at SWEAT? Because SWEAT works!"

• Sweat Success Story
I have a beautiful family. My wife Stacy, also a fixture at the Sweat gym, and two children, Brooke and Bradon, are the main reasons for me to want to live a long, happy and healthy lifestyle. Being an offensive lineman my entire football career, I had to quickly realize that being 310 pounds and living the lifestyle of eating pizza, wings and anything else I could get my hands wasn't going to work. That, along with multiple reconstructive knee surgeries led me to find an alternative lifestyle. After learning that riding a bike was my best option after my surgeries, I bought my first road bike and that's when my passion for cycling and triathlons started.
Over the past 4 years I have competed in several triathlons including sprint, Olympic, half and the ultimate Ironman distance. As of last year, I starting racing in Arizona's cycling circuit racing in century rides to short criteriums. Sweat is a great place for me to utilize my passion in cycling and have fun while sharing it with others. Everyone at Sweat learns what a real workout is and what it takes to push their own personal limits.

• Spinning and Aerobics Instructor
• Certified Personal Trainer
• Sweat Manager
• Sweat Success Story
Gina was born and raised in Northern New Jersey and moved to Anthem in October 2003. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from Montclair State College. Gina bounced around for a few years working for Corporate America, a family business and then owning her own business.
Gina is blessed with two daughters, ages 8 and 5, that keep her on her toes and make her proud to be their mom. A few years ago, realizing her own mortality, Gina decided it was time to pay closer attention to her health and joined the "Sweat Family," as a client. She was surprised by the intense training and inspired by the support everyone gave each other. She also enjoyed the playful banter that seems to be an unspoken requirement at Sweat between trainer and client. She quickly became a fan. Although the program was tough, Gina found herself looking forward to seeing how far she could push herself at each session. Taking a bigger interest in health and fitness, Gina decided to take some courses to see if it might be something she could make a career of.
Gina is a Sweat Manager and Personal Trainer. Her goal is to help clients realize their potential when it comes to their health and ideal body weights. She really enjoys seeing people’s transformations, not only in body composition, but in confidence, energy level and the sense of pride that comes with hard work and a job well done.
“I feel lucky to be a part of Sweat. It has given me the opportunity to meet incredible people and see them do incredible things.”

• Sweat Success Story
"Health and wellness became a lifestyle change for me after competing in the first Sweat Contest at the end of 2005. I was desperate to lose weight and came across the magazine advertisement regarding the “Battle of the Bulge” and realized that this was the ideal structure that I was lacking to get back to my fitness goal. My goal was to lose 45 lbs in 60 days and see my abs. The best part about the entire program is that it is comprehensive with a structured diet and exercise program where there are immediate results.
The Drop shakes taste great, mixes well, and also gives your body a sense of fullness, which makes the diet easy. I found that after three days of sole sourcing, or taking just the shakes without food, I had new-found energy sustained throughout the day. I am a daily user of Drop and will also continue to use the product the rest of my life because simply put, it’s just that good.
What I appreciate about SWEAT is that the exercise programs are tailored to each individual’s fitness goal and a reoccurring theme of immediate results are created within the SWEAT walls.
Being a personal trainer, has been so rewarding. I enjoy working with people that are eager to workout and I have fun while doing it. Also, seeing people transfer into the bodies that they have always dreamed about is my ultimate goal. I have been there before and know what it takes and can relate to those that have struggled for a while.
My fitness goal is to be 190lbs and stronger than I have ever been before. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my results so far and in such a small amount of time! I enjoy seeing my body change and my health improve because of it.
The reason people should join SWEAT is that they will reach their ideal body type. Guaranteed!

Growing up in the Chicago area, Kendall was a rough and tumble tomboy who loved sports and being outdoors. In fact, most pictures of Kendall as a kid seem to be her barefoot, knees scraped up, grinning from ear to ear with sweaty hair matted to her head from playing outside.
In 1985, Kendall decided to say goodbye to the Midwest and head west to attend the University of Oregon. While taking breaks from her studies as a music major, Kendall would hit the running trails and soon find herself surprised to be bumping into running legends like Mary Slaney and Alberto Salazar out on their training runs. Inspired by them and the incredible running culture in Eugene, Kendall got serious about running and decided to change her major to Physical Education/Fitness Management. It was an exciting time for Kendall as she racked up her running miles and started to regularly break the top 10 for women in her age bracket for 10K road races. Unfortunately, multiple stress fractures and other injuries sidelined her dream of running professionally, but her love of sports never wavered and she found other ways to channel her athleticism. Meanwhile, to satisfy the credits needed to complete her practicum that would allow her to graduate from the U of O, Kendall was asked to teach aerobics at a local gym. She was MORTIFIED. In Kendall's mind, teaching aerobics seemed girly and for wannabe athletes, so she had every intention of getting her practicum done in the shortest amount of time possible. But a funny thing happened: Kendall discovered that she loved teaching aerobics. She loved the group atmosphere, the energy, and being able to make a difference in people's lives. About this same time, Kendall met a guy named Curtis who took her step classes and was so not her type. If you give Kendall a sake bomber, she'll tell you the whole story, but suffice it to say that from Kendall and Curtis' first date to when they got married was THREE MONTHS. He ended up being her type after all.
Much like her engagement, the next several years were a whirlwind. She popped out two incredible kids, Gus and Easton, who continue to be little beacons of awesomeness in her life. She also did a lot of fitness related stuff ranging from filming a series of fitness videos to doing hip hop demos at Nordstrom’s too embarrassing to discuss. But the opportunity of a lifetime dropped onto her lap in 1997. Looking to break into the USA group exercise market, a New Zealand-based company called Les Mills International was recruiting Trainers to teach and train their classes. The Les Mills' pre-choreographed workouts were tough, but right up Kendall's alley. Before long, she was traveling all over the USA and Canada training other instructors how to teach the programs. Kendall's work in the field caught the attention of the Les Mills' Program Directors and she was asked to film instructional DVDs for BODYATTACK and BODYSTEP. If you give Kendall another sake bomber, she'll tell you about the outfits she had to wear for filming. Caution: she tends to twitch involuntarily whenever gold lame' is mentioned.
Kendall is still working for Les Mills International, but her focus has changed dramatically as she is now the USA National Training Manager. She oversees the 120+ Trainers spread across the USA and Canada and feels blessed that her work has taken her to some pretty amazing places such as Japan, Sweden, New Zealand, and Australia. The job is stressful and she tends to be chronically sleep deprived, but SWEAT is what recharges her . Kendall loves that the workouts are tough, the Trainers are tougher, and the people who work out at SWEAT are incredible.
Kendall had this to say about SWEAT, 'I've been in the fitness industry for a long time and I have never seen a gym get results like SWEAT. I feel honored to be a part of the SWEAT staff and love coaching people beyond where they thought was possible.'
You can find Kendall teaching group fitness classes in the wee hours of the morning as well as in the evening, where she is fully committed to making sure you get the results you came for! Just don't ask her to wear gold lame' workout gear.
