Rules:

  • We encourage all of our clients to sign up, register and purchase online so that our staff is prepared ahead of time. We are happy to help if you have any problems with scheduling.
  • Please note we have a strict 24 hour no-show policy. If you sign up for a class, you can only get your credit back if you make the change before the 24 hour mark. You can login anytime, 24 hours a day, to change your child’s schedule.
  • Sweat Cheer schedule is subject to change based on the market needs and wants.
  • All participants must wear their hair in a secure ponytail and come without jewelry, unless it is a medical ID tag. This includes all piercings, as it is a safety hazard to the individual, staff and other participants.
  • Please wear cheer or running shoes, shorts, sports bra and workout shirt to be dressed properly.
  • Participants must have a parent sign Sweat’s membership agreement before participation.
  • Full payment is required.
  • Cheer is a workout. Your child will be sore. They will be instructed and educated on why certain techniques and movements will help them in cheerleading. This is a very positive and helpful environment for your child to be active and learn a healthy and fitness lifestyle as they are in such critical years of growth.

Tumbling Classes:

Try your first class FREE!  We welcome all levels of experience!  Learn from experienced gymnastics coaches that have many years of coaching and credentials behind them, as well as judging experience!   Sign up by calling 623-551-5753 or click on the green book & buy button on this site to register!  Parent-signed paperwork must be filled out for each participant before  a child can attend a class, so please come ten minutes early to get this accomplished.  We encourage EVERYONE to register online or in advance by calling us, so our staff can plan accordingly and you know there is room in the class for your child!

Tiny Tumbling:

Our Tiny Tumbling is a 45-minute class for boys and girls, ages 3-7. There is a limit of 10 kids to individualize instruction as much as possible. These classes provide a fun, safe learning environment with Coach Denise, who has 28 years experience and is well trained in the latest teaching techniques and safety standards. This class teaches the basics of gymnastics, concentrating on floor tumbling, flexibility and fine motor skills.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. How do we prepare for the class?
The best clothes to wear are leotards or elastic waist shorts with a t-shirt that stays tucked in. Bare feet are recommended or socks with athletic shoes. No jewelry is allowed except post earrings.  Long hair must be tied back and kept off the face. Soft hair accessories are preferred over hard plastic
barrettes.

2. What should we do the FIRST DAY?
Stop at the front desk to check in. They can direct you to the location of your class. Please store extra clothing in the locker rooms.

3. What will my child LEARN in class?
Children will use a wide variety of appropriate gymnastic equipment. The class format consists of a warm-up, skill rotations, and technical drills.

4. What are the goals of the program?
Gymnastics provides a safe environment where children have fun developing confidence, improving self-esteem, and learning skills. Gymnastics classes also develop listening skills, coordination, strength, balance and flexibility. These skills help children stay physically fit and have a positive correlation to learning other sports activities.  Please keep in mind that gymnastics is a challenging sport and it is normal for a child to progress slowly. Repetition and continuity are necessary for development.

5. When can parents OBSERVE the class?
Based on experience, most kids will focus more when there is less distraction, but also want you to feel comfortable in the program, so please stay and watch if you would like!  If you choose to stay, we encourage you to watch and you can sit along the wall on the wood floor.  If you are interested in working out in the Sweat Gym while your child is doing the tumbling class, we do have sessions available every hour.  See front desk or call 623-551-5753 for details on how to get started.
